 Returns & Refunds Policy

Prezzies exists to make remote shopping for gifts an easy, efficient, hassle-free service. If you choose a gift on 'Prezzies' you should feel confident that everything will run smoothly from that point on - that's our aim, that's why we set prezzies up, and that's what we aspire to.

Our policy on returns and refunds is that we will treat you - as we would expect to be treated ourselves.

It's unlikely that the recipient of a gift from you is going to want to return it. However, things can go wrong for a variety of reasons - and if you have a legitimate reason for returning a purchase or requesting a refund, tell us about it and we'll do everything in our power to put things right, with the least amount of disruption, in the shortest amount of time.

There are some exceptions to our policy – we cannot give refunds for any adventure or experience tour. Your recipient may receive a refund direct from the operator, when applicable under the terms and conditions of the operator, however any such refund will only be for a maximum of the wholesale price of the adventure or experience.

Our returns/refunds policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under New Zealand consumer protection or sale of goods laws.

Returns:

You may wish to return a purchase due to:

1. Malfunction

2. Received damaged

3. Dissatisfaction

Malfunction:

If the item purchased does not function correctly on receipt, or fails within its warranty period*, please contact us immediately (by email or phone), quoting your invoice number (the number provided by us on the order confirmation emailed to you at the time of your purchase) and advising us of the nature of the problem.

If the goods carry a manufacturers warranty then we will advise you to follow the instructions on the warranty card that you received with the goods.

If the goods do not carry a manufacturers warranty, then they are warranted by us for sixty (60) days and we will organise the retrieval of the item at our cost and provided that the problem has not been caused by misuse or normal wear and tear - repair or replace (at our discretion) within 28 days from its return to us.

If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, we will credit the cost of the relevant purchase back to your credit card.

Damaged on receipt:

If the goods are received by you or your gift recipient in an already damaged condition - please contact us immediately (by email or phone), quoting your invoice number (the number provided by us on the order confirmation emailed to you at the time of your purchase) and advising us of the nature of the damage.

We will organise the retrieval of the item at our cost and will ship a replacement immediately upon receipt of the damaged goods, by us.

If for any reason the item cannot be replaced, we will immediately invite you to select a replacement item or credit the cost of the relevant purchase back to your credit card - at your discretion.

Dissatisfaction:

If your gift recipient is dissatisfied with your gift, and providing that:

1. You notify us within 21 days of the date of confirmation of your purchase; and

2. the goods are returned to us in a saleable condition (an 'as new' condition including the original packaging and all enclosed materials such as manuals, guarantees, instructions, etc);

then we will offer you the choice of either :

a credit of the purchase price (less our original shipping costs); OR

the exchange of the goods for another product from prezzies.co.nz site.

In the event that you choose an exchage product - and the value is less than the original purchase then we will credit the difference to your credit card.

NOTE: This policy DOES NOT apply to DVD's, CD-ROMs, Software, Videos, Books.

DVD's, CD's, Software, Videos, Books

Please note that in the case of DVD's, CD-ROM's, Videos, Software and other products which are covered by copyright and intellectual property law the majority of our suppliers will not accept stock back because of the high level of illegal copying and piracy of intellectual property - so in general we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds on such products.

Summary of refund policy:

We will issue refunds (by passing a credit back to the credit card you used to make the purchase):

1. In the case of malfunctioning or damaged goods but at our discretion when we (or the manufacturer of the goods) chooses to repair or replace - and will not apply if the goods have been misued by you or if the malfuntion or damage is ordianry wear and tear or if the goods are outside their warranty period*.

2. In the case of dissatisfaction with a purchase within a maximum of 21 days from order confirmation, subject to the goods being returned in saleable condition and with shipping costs being deducted from the refund by us.

To advise us that you wish to return goods and/or receive a refund - please:

a) email returns@prezzies.co.nz ,OR

b) telephone +64 3 379 9751 and ask for prezzies returns. If you telephone outside NZ working hours, or the phone is unattended - leave a message but ensure that you provide the relevant invoice number along with details of the problem. We will email the address you provided (at the time of ordering) to either confirm that we've taken action - or to advise any action you need to take.

The effect of Warranty provisions on returns/refunds:

The information below is provided here solely to help explain our returns/refunds policy.

* Warranty Period. Where the goods carry a manufacturers warranty, the 'warranty period' is the period specified by the relevant manufacturer and subject to the terms and conditions of warranty specified by that manufacturer. If the goods are covered by a manufacturers warranty, all the details of that warranty will be enclosed with the goods upon receipt.

Where the goods do not carry a manufacturers warranty, then prezzies.co.nz provides a limited warranty on such goods for a period of sixty (60) days.
